No, he was definitely not tonight. He played his worst game this year. Our PG play was horrendous. They shot a combined 0-13. KT and Mason were the only guys that showed up. Losing Shamsid-Deen killed us.

Yet he is still better than any Bama big man.

Are you arguing that Auburn is a more talented team than Alabama at this point? Also, I wouldn't really say this team is more talented than last year's team. Mason has been hit or miss, but Denson was really good last year. We also had a true center and Allen Payne wasn't good, but he was serviceable at the four.

The roster last year was more complete. This year we have holes everywhere.

You say grant out coached pearl. Tell me who on our team would start at any other sec school? Kt, mason maybe that's it our roster is garbage. Bama 17 points from the bench auburn 5 and we had 1 started with 4 points and our point had zero. That's how you lose has nothing to do with coaching

That's your excuse? Why did Barbee beat Grant the last two years while Pearl gets swept.

Why did Peal lose to a limited Bama team and Grant while his TN roster was loaded?

This year's AU team is more talented than last, period.

Chubb over Bowers? C'mon man.

Chubb didn't even play last year. Are you sure you know enough about Auburn's team to carry on with this convo?

I'll try to keep up if you will do the same. I was talking about Barbee's last two teams beating Grant. I assumed when you stated a better center, you meant Chubb, because nobody last season is even close to Bowers.

That's more than one player. Last year's team was deeper and probably still more talented overall and definitely had less holes in the roster.

BTW, no where did I post that we had a "better" center. I said true center. Dixon-Tatum wasn't as good offensively, but he was a lot better defensively.

Well, you don't even know who was on our team last year, so no skin off my back.

I have to ask? You guys have such shitty players? You mean the 65 players Pearl signed in the last year and the 40 guys he cut hasn't improved the team? You mean the guys he got rid of were worse than these guys?

Three starters off of last years team graduated, the backup center got hurt in the first exhibition game this year and Tahj just went out for the year a couple weeks ago. Anything else?

What about the ones he had leave? And the 65 he signed? Any JUCOS? Do they suck? Pretty sure some guys transferred.

Sorry I've been gone for so long, I've been frantically screenshotting threads that I know will be too old to bump a year from now.

He did the best he could replacing the contributors that we lost due to graduation or injury. The current roster is now without four guys that started last year and last years backup center. All of those guys are not playing because of graduation or injury. None of the guys that left for other reasons contributed anything.

BTW, the "65" he signed was a whopping 5 if you include transfers that came in.

Like I said, those guys were worse than these non-D1 players? Good roster choices coach.

No, you're the one struggling. You seem to think that Pearl had a choice in keeping players that graduated or were injured. He did the best he could filling gaps with players that he had no choice in replacing. Barbee left him nothing.

The fact that you haven't used a single name when talking about Pearl's signees let's me know that you don't know what you're talking about anyway.
