Now the SC fans are gonna get mad that you made fun of their parking lots around the stadium...

I guess if you want the Tailgating atmosphere as well as the Stadium atmosphere, Ole Miss and the Grove deserve to be on the list.

I was primarily thinking actual game time atmosphere with my list. I blame the dumb Athlon thread ranking stadiums.

First thing I thought of

Seriously, it's more fun tailgating around the GA Dome than there. The only thing that gets me slightly enthralled is the allure of a cockaboose. I wanna party in one.

LSU and Auburn (playing each other would be a bonus) at night are the most electric big game atmospheres in the SEC, IMO.

But agree generally that Bama is a great atmosphere with a good stadium, UGA is a great town with good tailgating, etc.

SCORE.

Pending what's up with work I will actually be making my 3rd straight trip up to Columbia, SC, the city where god has a magnifying class increasing the temp by 10 degrees over anywhere else in the state

FWIW, the stadium and atmosphere is as good as youll find anywhere. It's the surroundings and tailgating that just suck donkey weiners

Yes, but that is a culturally distinct game, worthy of the experience, but it's not really representative of SEC football, IMO. UGA-Auburn, UT-Alabama, etc. are purer versions of SEC rivalry.

My wrist has finally healed up from that beating I gave the W-B concourse. That wall wants no part of round 2.

I don't disagree except the drinking is on par with any southern experience. It's just fun. It's like how I wanna go to the Red River Shootout

Oh it is definitely a worthwhile trip. It's just more spring break than SEC football saturday, IMO.

Very interested, but sadly it will be 10-12 years before the LSU fans get to go. Thanks Bama and Tenn.

Only experience I have with Mizzou is Ft. Leonardwood for a 4 month stretch (basic training)

Definitely, very well put. I describe that weekend as Fall's version of Spring Break to outsiders.

Rather than a ranking, let me just say that with this 6-1-1 schedule format, when evaluating your options each year, you should think long and hard about passing up a roadtrip to a Western division opponent other than Arkansas (who you will play every year and have multiple opportunities to make). For example, Georgia is supposed to be a great road trip, but if Missouri had road trips to Athens and Auburn scheduled the same year, and you could only make one, I'd go to Auburn because it would be more than a decade before you'd get another chance to make that trip, while you'll have the opportunity to go to Athens every other year. You guys won't have another trip to College Station until kids that are in first grade right now are freshmen in college.
