Defender can have contact with the receiver until the ball is in the air...once pass is away, no more contact until ball arrives.
That's why there are no illegal contact penalties in college...

They could have ruled it an incomplete pass, but not an INT.

That is what I thought the call should have been.

The fact that Auburn snapped the ball on the next play was enough for me. Oh well. Double-digit win.

Allowing the replay after the play had been run was insane. It was as if the tinfoil hat wearing fools around here were right and the refs have a line to Slive's office.

Why would anyone think it was an incomplete pass?

The ball was in possession (by SOMEBODY), feet were down in bounds, and the ball never hit the ground. It could be nothing BUT a possession decision, and the refs got it wrong even with replay.

What is the rule when:

Offensive player steps out of bounds 3 yards before first down. Line judge who is completely out of position runs to spot where offensive player steps out of bounds. The line judge realizes he is on offensive team's sideline and runs up field three yards, looks across field at first down marker and placES football down a foot in front of marker?

Rule number for that please? TIA lol

I did not think either had it really in possession. I did not think Sylve secured it until his right foot was out.

If the refs had a direct line to Slive, then why did the call go against us? You'd think if we really were paying the refs we would have got the interception, or at the very least it ruled an incomplete pass.

I am surprised by the concern with officiating last night. All in all it was a good game. Some of the stuff mentioned wasn't that bad, the phantom hold in my opinion was on the left guard and they said the wrong players number. The review should have never been allowed, but even if it was to say there was evidence to overturn the call on the field is stretching. It might have been the wrong call but it wasn't the wrong review. All in all I thought they did a good job, better than most games this season.

Got fricked on the INT and the neutral zone infraction. But Bama doesn't bitch about calls, we overcome them.

I don't think that nonsense. I think all the people complaining about refs are generally excuse makers in life. I have never seen a play completely run where no official made any motion about stopping the play and then after the fact saying my ear piece was being buzzed so the play doesn't count. See my last post about the game, I thought it was all in all officiated well.

Quantifying your complaining by stating you overcome it doesn't mean you aren't still complaining.

Saying it happened isn't complaining.

Why don't you link the fox sports article you copy and pasted, Forrest? Oh right. You wanted to look like you were smart and did research and shite. That's sweet.

I didn't agree with the ruling either, but at least there is proof now that the refs aren't Bama fans.

I thought the DB landed out of bounds anyway. So at best it's an incompletion
