UT's orange and white have got to be the toughest colors to work with in designing unis. I'd think the simpler the better. The examples in the OP aren't that bad.

Tennessee's choices in uniforms and apparel this past decade kind of confuses me. I've always viewed them as a school like Bama that had a classic and clean look (with exception of the black around the numbers). Then they started selling black apparel which it seems like fans wear as much as the orange and went on from there to continue to tinker with their once classic uniforms. You guys should ditch the gimmicky stuff and go back to the classic look you guys were winning SEC titles in. That said the uniforms look like a step in the right direction with exception of the grey, which hopefully they only wear once a year.

Simply awful. Orange is a horrific color for a football team. Tampa Bay Bucs, Vols. It just screams rent a win.

Smokey Grey sounds cool on paper, but I can't picture Tennessee in anything other than white helmets. Those Home and Aways look good though.
Another thing that will always be 100% Tennessee to me, and I don't know why I remember this, is the way Adidas used to adjust the letter size for a players last name in order to fill the entire name plate on the back of the jersey. Don't know why, but whenever I picture a Tennessee uniform, that's always one of the details I remember.
