What the frick are you talking about? Madison Academy is still part of the Alabama High School Athletic Association. He plays against both city schools and county schools. Not just against a bunch of private school dorks.

In Mike Dyer's case, it didn't matter that he played against terrible competition. He proved he was every bit of a 5 star running back when he got to the SEC.
Some kids it does matter...
As for OJ Howard, he quit Prattville's football team. He couldn't handle it.
ETA: The part about OJ Howard was straight from 3 former Prattville football players.

Oh didn't he say that about Ingram or somebody? He's had a solid career for a guy who wasn't drafted all that highly.

I'm not sure why that matters. He's not exactly lighting it up at Alabama and has not lived up to that 5 star rating. OJ Howard was a freshman when they knew him, FWIW.
All 3 are also Alabama fans, so they're aren't negatively biased towards him.
