Apparently, playing a texas team in texas is an advantage for Arkansas.

Aggie logic.

i understand they are working through the non-conference contracts to implement a 9 conference schedule like the B10, which will then allow Auburn to move to the East and Mizzou to the West. (1 perm and 2 rotating). Bama-UT would still be discontinued, but it wouldn't take as long w/ the rotation w/ 2 rotating games like it is now.

Teams are staying in the same division just going to a 9 game. Basically the same as 2011 just one more division game.

UGA, UT, UA, & UF only voted on Mizzou coming in, if Auburn stayed in the West. UF & UGA didnt want AU in the east and UT & UA didnt want to lose their rivalry

One of the issues that I know is maybe holding it up is that we need a 12th game since A&M was our OOC game and now they are a conference game.

Part of it, we need the SEC schedule to be released to schedule a cupcake, but really we want a home and home with a quality opponent so the SEC schedule is on hold to see if it needs to be tweaked for this to happen.

i don't understand why UGA would care because they have to play them every year. and UT used to have a good rivalry w/ Auburn. i don't disagree w/ your info, but i think Mizzou has to go back to the West or they'll never be able to build their program. the need to play the teams in their region regularly to help them w/ recruiting. also, having Mizzou in the East taxes the other East schools/fans that will have travel out there every other year.

Not released until next week. Wanted them out by Xmas but they are pushed back to make sure the bye weeks are distributed equally.

Now they would have to compete with them in the east

We had a bigger one with UF as well. UT was about losing their rivalry with Bama if we moved to the east.

Agree, but it is what it is until they make the move to 16
