What I heard was that Dismukes got pissed at him for committing and them decommitting and then coming back again, which started a verbal argument in which Reese dropped the N bomb.

That's the other version I've heard as well.
He didn't like Foster's actions, whether it was current or previous ones.

I believe this. There is a pretty connected insider on a UGA board I visit who said that Foster and AK made up their minds to play together at bama, and on their trip to UGA were trying to recruit other kids to go there too. It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if Foster was at auburn trying to sway people.

That makes the rumors somewhat more believable, but also makes it easy for someone to embellish a disagreement that he is involved with and make the embellishment believable.
I think it more fair to give anyone accused of slinging racial slurs some benefit of the doubt until there is first hand information by someone willing to put their name behind it.
