Head Coach hires that you thought would crush it but failed miserably.

Tom Herman at Texas.

He was the OC for Ohio State on the team that beat Alabama and Oregon for the national title (with 3rd string qb).

Then had Houston rolling about as well as a HC could.

I thought that with the money, facilities, in state talent etc that he was going to turn Texas into a monster.

I was wrong.

Tops my list. Also thought Dan Mullen would be way more successful than he was, though he didn’t exactly crash and burn. He just didn’t live up to expectation. Had he stayed in Starkville I think he would’ve continued to be successful and challenge for the west every other year or so.

I agree with Tom Herman. I also thought Chad Morris would do well at Arkansas.

Not sure how actual Arkansas fans thought it would go. Just my outside perspective, I thought he would do well.

Saban at LSU. I mean it took less time for both Miles and Orgeron to win titles at LSU.

Tom Herman at Texas

Chip Kelly at UCLA

Scott Frost at Nebraska

Justin Fuentes at Virginia Tech

Kevin Sumlin at Arizona (thought he'd be a 6-7 win a head coach not destroy the program)

Al Golden at Miami

Lol

Not with Grantham as his DC.
It was obvious that he wasnt making good choices as a head coach. Started with grantham and bled to starting QBs.
