That kid was dropping dimes. The long pass to the one yard line was an absolutely perfectly thrown ball and that was just one of about 5-6 perfect passes he made. Glad we don't have to see him again.

HIGHLY doubtful.

Yes Bama 1959 he was playing Bama and yes he was playing FSU. The thing is he needs self discipline and modesty. In other words he needs to realize his own limitations and play within them. He has a year under his belt now as a SEC starter and he should have learned by now there are times to just go down and live for another play. Most of the Ole Miss implosions can be traced to his doorstep. If he were playing for Saban he would not be playing until he either learned modesty or was half killed by Saban running the bleachers or transferred once again. Ole Miss could have easily won that game without all his mess ups. You taped it so go back and look at the turning points he provided Bama. Still it was a heck of a game.

Kelly played his arse off and gave us a chance to win. While I think he held the ball too long on the fumble, I couldn't find much else he did wrong. That interception was because he got hit and Allen made a heads up play. The most impressive thing about Kelly for me was after the game when he took the blame for the loss. He could have easily blamed his offensive line getting owned, the terrible running game, or our pathetic linebacker and special teams play, but he said it was his fault. He has shown a lot of maturity and leadership in his 2 years with Ole Miss and has been a model teammate from what the coaches and players say. I was not happy about Freeze taking him last year but Kelly definitely proved me wrong.
That being said, I am not too excited about facing Hurts the next 3 years. That kid was down 21 points on the road in his first SEC game and he never looked nervous. Stayed within the system, didn't try to force anything and led his team to a comeback win. His attitude reminds me a lot of Eli. He doesn't seem to get too high or too down on himself and you would never know if he threw a TD or an interception based on his reactions. This kid is going to be something special.

He was playing Bama you know. No one else has the DL talent to expose him like that.
Except FSU.
But then, FSU's DL looked like dogshit up against Louisville.
So maybe all teams involved are average and Kelly is - gasp - average as well.

There aren't many perfect games in the universe to be had. Sure, he could have avoided the one on the goal line but how many of the completed throws would he have made if he was worried about getting hit/tackled? Freeze asked him to be Tom Brady that day. But, he's just the best SEC QB. There's a difference.

On a brighter note, Hurts took a fricking beating on Saturday. A couple of times I thought for certain he was going to get knocked out of the game. Dude needs to get on the ground or he won't live through the season.

He's doing what Freeze asks him to do, which is probably way too much. Ole Miss would have been destroyed without Kelly's performance. He made play after play with little help from the running game or Ole Miss's defense and special teams. Sure he had a couple of turnovers, but Alabama's defense is actually pretty decent and is going to get you from time to time. Kelly looked like the best offensive player on the field for either team.

Yes he is a player and can make plays but........if he plays smarter Ole Miss probably wins.

Your own QB better watch his arse or he won't make it to the end either.
Reuben bring the wood Foster

Far from it. Not sure if you know where "The Boot" is. Not too difficult to figure out if you take a look at a U.S. map.

Did Foster get ejected for that?

Kelly flipped the ball and gave zero fricks. His swag power protects him. I actually saw Hurts reaching for his ribs at one point.

I'm just annoyed at my 1-2 Rebs . Didn't mean to take it out on you. I apologize lol

Not sure who's telling you this....Etling is much better than anything we've seen outside of Mett under center since 2007. But the entire team is still in disarray and will lose 5 games this year...maybe 6. Bama may put a beat down on LSU not seen in Tiger Stadium before. So, congrats...Bama is primed to play OSU again for the title.

I can't blame you. I'd probably be in the same boat if we hadn't have recovered Bo's fumble.

I've hated osu more than any non rival over the last decade and a half. I'd love to get some revenge.
