State, OM, and Bama in consecutive weeks would make a lot of teams look bad. I don't believe they are as bad as most people think. Sure, they are a little soft on D but they are not that bad of a team. They would beat a lot of teams from other Big 5 conferences.

You obviously did not watch their game against ULM

People like us on the Rant pumped them up after that good month in Sept. I knew South Carolina was down. But hey TAMU blew South Carolina out people crowned them as contenders not only for the SEC but for the National Championship.
Texas A&M was avg in the Big 12, they'll be the same in the SEC. Don't care about recruiting classes because Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida also have good HS football players.

Ever. 2003 Auburn may be second. Preseason crown. Didn't work out that way. They rebounded the following season, though.

You can't use "decline" when referring to A&M as a program because it does not apply.
Now this team is interesting, they were pre season top 20 so I don't it is an extreme case of over rated. Now they did crumble because no one can deny they did play very well the first few games. They climbed but at the time it was deserving. I really thought they would make serious noise.

Everyone pretty much figured out that they don't have a running game or a Defense. Sit back and make their QB beat you, JFF "GOAT" couldn't beat everyone, so it stands to reason Trill was fricked from the get go. If I'm Sumlin I'm putting Speedy at QB. It's the only way he gets anything that resembled JFF on Offense, because it's obvious his system isn't working without a baller at QB

How can we forget Auburn 2012? From champs to chumps....West Virginia had a simular kind of season that season as well..... all in all though we won't have a losing record at the end of the year which is saying something, I suppose taken that we've taken a nosedive last month or so that would rival throwing a loaf of bread off a cliff in Ethiopia. I think our struggles are a mixture of different things, some predictable, some not, but I know the last 3 games were inexcusable from a coaching standpoint and Sumlin will start addressing those things after the LSU game I'm sure. Not much more to say really....Just let it play out and hope we have players ready to play and compete.

I'm positive. It's truly sad what is going on in College Station. Sumlin is punching himself in the face.
