Has there been a thread on the LSU WR coach that left?

Is this a move by him to buy some time until a college program with a good passing game offers him a job?

Oh yes. That's right. Because just two years ago we had two 1,000 yard receivers.
I love how LSU goes one year with a freshman QB and an excellent ground game, and all of a sudden we will never, ever have a passing game or good offense again.

Not only do we have Brandon Harris coming back, and Jennings and McMillan, but we also have Felipe Franks and possibly Shea Patterson the year after. Couple that with some of the best OL and skill prospects in the nation; well - just wait....

Ag fans are so cute with their hopefullness and optimism...

If A&Ms football team tried as hard as some of y'all, y'all might not be looking at 0-4

I don't know. Sure seems like the Decline is very real doesn't it?

I hope they somehow get it figured out, I want them to at least be competitive the next several years. But the tailspin they are in sure doesn't give me much hope for them.

Do you think there is some sort of scandal brewing and that is maybe the real reason their best coaches left for lateral moves?

What should be concerning to you old sarge, and likely the reason for 0-4, is that a position coach at LSU considers NFL jobs as a lateral move.

I'm glad you checked in here. Those are really great points, but they don't address the top coaches fleeing the state.

Yes because Miles, Wilson, Steele and Orgeron are awful....
I hear Letterman is hiring comedy writers. You should apply....

But we should have at least one thread to discuss why LSU's best coaches are all leaving.

LSU coaches are not getting fired like your aggy coaches have been.

so, we lost two; one due to upward mobility to the NFL. for more money and resume' building. go figure. the other one we lost to a program that was so desperate they were willing to pay way over the market value and guarantee much more. sumlin's star is at stake because he's getting exposed and some of the "right people" are noticing. these right people pay the bills. y'all have almost 7 mil. tied up in two coaches; one that gains lots of yards and one that limits lots of yards. congratulations. too bad it won't translate into the #1 stat; victories.

So do you have any evidence to support this wild accusation?

I doubt it. The simplest explanation is usually the right one. The offensive coaches are leaving because their offense is constantly horrendously bad and they want out of dodge before they are forever unable to be shed of that stink on their career. Their defensive coaches are leaving because they're tired of carrying the water for the offense.

Occam's razor.

Then again, maybe there is a scandal or something. Hard to say for sure.

Chavis said the offense being bad at LSU was one of the main reasons he left

and the aggy nation bought it. this is the real story (and an amusing one at that). chavis knows y'all are big on moral victories so he gave y'all one. now y'all have to pay him 5 mil and hope he helps your pitiful defense out.

Why do you say this? Do you know how much Boom got from Auburn? And Chavis has a MUCH better resume. We paid fair market value. Y'all tried to be low bid and that didn't work out. But let's stay in topic so this can be a productive and enlightening discussion.

That's true. Those that can find employment elsewhere are voluntarily leaving as fast as they can. Curious, ain't it.

Most believe this is true. Do LSU fans have optimism that this trend will end? Or do they see the same pattern in the future? Is Les the core problem?

Great point, why do you think they are leaving of their own accord?

I don't see one on the first couple of pages.

Weird that he left so quickly after signing day. I'm not surprised, though. He was lobbying hard for the A&M job that was open. True story.

Ahhh yes, I believe you. He was lobbying hard for the A&M job, but "settled" for the San Francisco 49'ers.....
Where did the previous A&M Defensive Coordinator go to? A high school girls glee club ????
LSU will sign an equal or better coach to take the place of one who is now coaching in the NFL.
