Its Little Rock for a weekday game. I was surprised there were as many people there as showed up.

You can make all the excuses you want....35,000 people is embarrassing no matter what the circumstances.

Nah, my grandparents are from a little town in east Arkansas called Pocahontas. They love their hogs.

I never said they didn't love the hogs, I'm saying I don't understand why they do. Also, just because people love the hogs doesn't mean Arkansas fans take football seriously. Alabama, LSU, UF, and AU take football seriously, Arkansas not so much.

I don't know what to say to that.... If LSU plants a couple famous trees someone from Arkansas may poison them. I don't know.

What are we measuring here? The FAMU attendance?

This is pretty much an indictment of the Arkansas fan base as a whole, save those who actually went to the game.

Oh blow it out your arse.

We've explained, in exhaustive detail, why the turn out was what it was. You don't like it? We don't care.

To be honest I doubt the turnout will be much larger for the next game in Little Rock because once again we will be playing an FCS team in Vanderbilt.

Its a game played by college kids.

That's why I personally don't take it seriously.

If I was making excuses I'd be trying to explain why we are only .500 against LSU in the last decade. Some things all you can do is hang your head in shame.

No, it's something I've observed after living in Arkansas the last 7 years. It's just my opinion which doesn't matter.

I'm cool with us never being as obsessed with football as Alabama.

well compared to alabama that makes sense but we take our football more seriously than most. In fact, only a small handful are more obsessed.

A lot like Legion Field. In her time, she was a thing of beauty. Alabama was playing all of their big games there. The gray lady started to decay and Bryant Denny received all of the upgrades and never looked back. Also didn't help that that side of B'ham is a sewer!!!

Little Rock is the last holdover from the old days of football. Ole Miss and Moo State used to play a lot of their big games in Jackson, Alabama at Birmingham, and so on across the country.

When I was in school (before we joined the SEC), the interesting thing regarding the Arkansas-Ole Miss series is that we never played at either team's home stadium. We alternated between Jackson and Little Rock. That went on for more than a decade.

I'm guessing you don't see that kind of arrangement much anymore.
