People probably don't agree with me on this one, but I actually liked the computers because they used algorithms without bias. I like having the committee vs the coaches poll/Harris poll because the committee can analyze more intricately then graduate assistant that votes for the coaches.

I think the formula should be 50% committee and 50% computers. I'm sure that there is already some math to their polls, but there has to be bias and personal agendas in there too.

Another question to think about. If Florida State hadn't just came off a NC, and say they started out ranked in the top 15 at the start of the season...would they even be in the top 4 right now being undefeated considering their "book of work", as they put it, with so many come from behind wins and barely beating marginal opponents?

Maybe, cause any undefeated team in a power 5 conference is probably going to get in anyway no matter how much their conference sucks. But they can't ever have a loss in a situation like that.

I think the coaches' poll should be willing former coaches.

I am starting to see bias in their picks. I think they will demonstrate the power of a conference championship when it is all said and done. Meaning your conference does not have one or if they do it will weigh a lot in the rankings.

Whether we believe it or not and we know ESPN or other sports media should have no influence on the CFB playoff committee it is. Yes the top 3 UA, FSU ,and Oregon all belong there and really does not matter in what order, but the next four fighting for one spot is where it gets interesting.

You have ESPN and everyone pumping sunshine for OSU after their win over MSU. So a 7-2 Minn all of a sudden gets ranked 25 in last week's poll. A team who had only played one team(TCU) currently ranked(who was not at that time) and got blown out. Minn drops a home game to OSU which allows OSU to jump to 6 in the new rankings and Minn still remains 25 in the poll. Only helping OSU variable used in ranking the teams.

All 4 win out OSU will end up at 4 beating Wisconsin and winning the conference CG. Baylor still plays a ranked opponent and since they beat TCU will probably slide(finally ahead) to either 5 since they are co-conference champs with TCU who probably drops to 7 since they play no more ranked teams nor a CG game. MSU finishes at 6 after beating Ole Miss.

Like someone else said play top 8. Force the power 5 conferences to go to 14 teams each(at least 12) have a conference CG and the winner gets an automatic birth unless the winner has more than 2 losses and give 3 at large bids out.

Their week to week rankings have been quite outstanding so far IMO.

We'll see how the final rankings, the ones that actually matter, shake out.

We have no idea how much weight being a "conference champion" will carry.
