Lost to Ole Miss so no.

Ole Miss whupped us, but they did it much more conventionally...they only ran 63 offensive plays (we ran 75)...I can recall Verne or Gary saying that Freeze mentioned to them that, against elite teams (his words, not mine), he wouldn't depend on the hurry-up as much since he some times found it counterproductive. While the Ole Miss schemes, particularly the trips formation in the second half, gave us trouble, it wasn't due to the HUNH...

You can just smell the fear from the Auburn and LSU posters on this thread. They sure didn't want to see the Alabama team that played Saturday show up...sweeeet!

I would say that it was a very promising result, considering that a&m put points and lots and lots of yards up against both of what people think ate the best defenses in the sec. Same team plus their best wr returned and we shut them down conpletely in all phases.

Miss st game
526 yds
365 passing
165 rushing
31 points
Ole miss game
455 yds
401 passing
54 rushing
20 points
Bama game
172 yards
141 passing
31 rushing
0 points
And the vast majority of the yards came in the 2nd half against the backups. I think they had 50 total yards at half.

But of course now the revisionists come in to say that a&m was never a good offense since bama beat them to death and shut them out. Im pretty sure most ole miss and state fans think they made a&m quit, not the total domination by bama

To be honest anyone could have done that to A&M Saturday they have given up after the OM game. To be owned like that in front of 110,000 of mostly your fans is inexcusable on Sumlin's part.

That sounds like a comment I'd expect from an Auburn or Ole Miss fan....y'all have shown more class than that lately.

DEFINITELY!!!!!

In fact, this was just like the LSU game was for y'all last year. Now y'all can just coast on through the rest of your schedule, whup up on some pathetic loser from the East in the SECCG, and then roll on through the playoffs to #16.

All that was missing was Saban jumping into Sims' arms.

This makes too much sense for this board.

It was an impressive beatdown, but against a team that has totally quit. So the answer is no. Saban is still 0-3 against the past 3 ranked opponents he has faced, all running some variation of fast tempo offense.

Actually using your method, Bama is actually 1-2 against their last 3 currently ranked opponents, Auburn(barely) 2-1

West Virginia is ranked now, so we are 2-1 in our last 3 against ranked teams that run HUNH.

The whole Saban vs. HUNH was overblown to begin with.

The teams that have done it successfully against Alabama have been very talented teams playing well, that's why they had success. We've crushed tons of mediocre and poor teams doing the HUNH, it has little to do with that and more just to do with the quality of the opponent.

Don't base your opinion on beating us. We have sinister problems. Team has quit. Clueless.
