I don't know that you can say that anyone in the west should feel like they have had a failure of a season.
LSU, TAMU, Ole Miss all expected around 8-9 wins
Auburn was in the gravy after 4 wins
state was praying just to have a shot to get to 6 so they could get 15 extra practices.
Arkansas knew they were in for the season that they've had but you have to admit those guys are still fighting their guts out. that's all you can ask for when you're undermanned.
The east is where some teams did not live up to expectations. Georgia, Tenn, FL all had to expect better. I'm not a fan, but i'm disappointed in USCe. I really felt like they'd be a one loss team at this point and would be poised to have a puncher's chance in the SECCG.

How is their season disappointing? They have a new coach, who doesn't have his own team of recruits yet. They have a good win against LSU and they could win 9 games. Sounds like a good year to me.
Only criticism of Ole Miss I have is that their goal line offense sucks. Just like Mizzou under our last OC.

Having played some of my best college games at Dudy Noble Field, I hope I personally inflicted some of that pain.
