I did it counting if they were ranked at the time of the game not the final rankings which is how this sort of thing is normally done

Idk how it would change the dates if you go by final ranking

I would imagine it's been awhile for schools such as MSU

Honestly can't remember. I know we had Oregon in the early 2000's, scheduled them when we were up and promptly went to shite as soon as they showed up on the schedule.

Yea I remember those games, their uniforms were almost as ugly as the final scores were

And someone early said y'all beat Texas in 92 which really isn't that bad

We were the only team to beat Notre Dame in 1977 when the won a NC. That was in Jackson, MS though. To this day, Notre Dame will not play Ole Miss because of this.

somehow i highly doubt that.

Too lazy to look, but I would bet UK's win over a ranked UofL squad with Chris Redman as the QB is our last non-con, ranked road win.

ESPN's stats only go back to 2002...

Last non-conference win over a ranked (at the time) opponent at their stadium. I didn't count Neutral sites and bowl games (but did make notations of a neutral site regular season win) For A&M and Mizzou, I looked at the Big 12 pre 2012.

Alabama #23 Penn State 9/10/11 (beat #5 Michigan at a neutral site in 2012)
Auburn #20 KSU 9/18/14
Arkansas #19 Tulsa 11/1/08
Florida #10 FSU 11/24/12
Georgia #25 Georgia Tech 11/26/11
Kentucky #17 Lousiville 9/1/02
LSU #16 West Virginia 9/24/11 (beat #14 Wisconsin 8/30/14 at a neutral site)
Ole Miss Before 2002
Mississippi St Before 2002
Mizzou Before 2002
South Carolina #12 Clemson 11/24/12
Tennessee #6 Miami (Fl) 11/8/03
TA&M Before 2002
Vandy Before 2002

Non-con road game. Not a bowl guy we've already established that

Not 100% our fault. We've tried and it just hasn't worked out. I believe we were supposed to do a 1 and 1 with Boise back a couple years ago but scratched it for the kickoff. And you'd think when scheduling Texas a few years in advance, they would be ranked...especially that early in the season, since ND, Texas, USC, Michigan, and Ohio State basically get a free preseason ranking every year.
