Do you make it a regular habit of judging things from decades ago based not on the world at that time but instead on the modern world?

By your logic when Charles Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic he should not have claimed any sort of record because it took him longer than 1 hour and 54 minutes.

We're not "claiming" anything. 1957 was awarded and earned under the system in place at that time. Postseason games (bowls) had zero to do with national championships back then. They were nothing more than exhibition games. Deal with it.

I've seen a lot of thick headed idiots on this site but you've got to rank in the top five.
