LSU was in the hunt and made it to the title game in 2011
LSU was in the hunt in 2012 until we collapsed on the final drive against Alabama at home. They probably go to the title game and face Notre Dame
LSU was in the hunt in 2006 too.
In 2010, TCU was ranked #3 and undefeated. Even if Auburn had lost the Iron Bowl, I think they still would have won the division and gone to the SEC Championship for a shot at redemption.
2012 Georgia would have given LSU serious trouble in the SEC Championship game.
The 2011 season is part of the 4 year pattern (2003, 2007, 2011, 2015). It's like LSU only gets the breaks every 4 seasons. All programs have room for improvement. LSU could improve to the point where they didn't depend on getting the "breaks" as much.

Idk i think we are on doing well on our 4 year cycle.
2015. could return as many 9 on defense, and shodl return 9 on offense. insanely talented 2014 recruiting class in it second year, insanely talented incoming freshmen class
Returning QB starters
Seem like we are set for a solid 2-3 year run with a solid core of players.

I'm mainly talking after the 2007 title
LSU was in the "hunt" in 2010. That's about it.
LSU was in serious contention in 2012 and 2013 until we lost to Ole Miss.
We just like to win national titles in the Super Dome (every 4 years it rotated there). Now, we'll just have to win them wherever. 2015 will be the year, IMO..and has been speculated for a good while. Just like in 2009, I knew 2011 would be the year.

That's homerism at its finest. When healthy, the Gators have fielded the best defense the past 2 seasons. What David Shaw did in the offense-centric PAC 12 was equally impressive to Chavis' work the past 2 years.
Muschamp and Shaw are HC's dummy.
Equally the last two years doesn't mean better.
Neither could do what Chavis has done with 5-6 players leaving every year.

No. Still bringing in talent and his players perform with an attitude. They will improve this year.

Honest question, will LSU have an offense next year?

Looks like my scientific readings were accurate.

Many expect 2015 to be just as good, if not close to the 2011 season
What a coincidence. Alabama expects to have a team to rival 2011 in 2015, too.

They lost virtually everyone of significance from that offense of theirs last year.

I'm trying to get along in here. Seriously, they still have talent.
