Those calling out a 25 year old QB a few weeks ago had a point

Same could be said about Kiffin.

They need to field a better defense and get better athletes on that side of the ball.

Do you realize the amount of fuel it would take to lift that lardass to escape velocity to even approach their 8' ceiling?

Recruiting and transfers will tell the answer.

If we are being honest I would have lost money saying UT would be at a 10 win level in year 2 with their history.

Nope just getting started. This is year 2 of a rebuild. When Heupel got to UT we had 31 players to hit the portal and was under NCAA investigation. UT also self imposed scholarship restrictions, and recruiting restrictions. Now we are past the self imposed penalties and will get stronger from here. This is Tennessee, not Ar-Kansas

Losing the experience Hooker had is going to hurt. Tennessee OL and Defense have to get better. Sustaining success is a lot harder than having a special season.

Heupel has a chance but things are going to get harder. With the schedule changes coming, I expect a slip up game could become more common as teams will have to prepare for more teams that they haven't regularly played.

With hooker gone it will be back to what they’re used to.

Nope. This year was an accident to begin with.

Yes. It’s not like they’re reloading. They’re sitting with the 15th recruiting class in the country.

Wouldn’t count on it. Milton gonna have a similar year next year. And then Nico will take over from there. We just getting started. If Heupel can hire a good DC and get more depth on defense, look out.

According to what I have read their back up QB, Milton, is also very good. But they will have to somehow install a much better defense, obviously.

Milton is completing 69.7% of passes, 573yds and 6TD’s 0 Int, with a 96.2 QBR this year. He’s not Hooker, but he isn’t a bum either. We will be fine with him starting.
