Newton has been a mediocre passer his entire career. Deep balls is where he got most of his stats. His athleticism and running ability is what always drew the most attention. This is leaps and bounds his most impressive season. Also most complete season.

He is one of their greatest NFL players for sure. If he had been at Auburn more than 1 year and those other years were even 3/4 as good as his 1 year there then he'd be in consideration.

Cam was only there a season. Bo was there his entire college career. No way Cam should be ahead of Bo IMO. But that's up to y'all.

I don't know how much y'all paid for Bo, then you'd have to adjust it for inflation and all that.

35 TD passes this year. And did you see that ball he threw to Olsen today? No "mediocre" passer can make that throw. He's the best player in the NFL.

This is not a question about who the better athlete is. We all know the answer to that. He's asking who the greater football player is. The answer is Cam and it's not even remotely close. Hell, Cam has more career rushing yards and almost 3x as many rushing TDs than Bo did in his pro career. Cam will likely win the MVP this year. Bo was never even named to an All-Pro team. The gap between the two as football players is cavernous.

I grew up in the Bo era and actually have met him through a child hood friend of mind that I grew up with and also played at AU, Herbert Casey. For and Auburn fan to say this tells me you are either 12 and never saw Bo play or not really an Auburn fan at all and just trolling. Either way, Cam is a guy Auburn lucked into for one year and Bo will forever be the greatest player ever at Auburn, in my opinion .
