What about it is undeserved. LSU had an employee under contract. TAMU came in and offered him more money. The way the timeline looks now, Chavis was on his way to College station or had an arrangement in place with Sumlin while his buyout clause was still in place.

Now I know that Tamu doesn't technically owe LSU shite because that's a personal debt of Chavis, technically speaking, but generally the hiring school is the one to pay the buyout since they interfere with an existing contract most of the time.

No such thing as this. A&M paid him what it took to get him.

We placed a higher value on him than LSU. We will see who was right in the fall. Did LSU save money and it had no effect on the defense or did A&M spend money to get a much better defense? Maybe it ends up being good for both teams...

Pretty simple really...
