I would hope so, it's located 5 miles from Vanderbilt, if that

I don't even think it's that far.

Yeah, I had a high school math teacher that played basketball for them. He was from Jasper, Alabama and had the thickest southern drawl I've ever heard.

Lipscomb (formerly David Lipscomb) University is a pretty good small school in Nashville.

BTW...they also took a game in their series with Bama earlier this season, and lost their match-up with Tennessee.

They also played Missouri in basketball this season, losing by 10.

Pretty much everyone in the South knows about Lipscomb. Most of us (and our dads) went to basketball camp there.

But you are from Texas, so, we get it.

Of course they have. Hell, there were Lipscomb students playing in the Vanderbilt band that met and played for the National Champions when they arrived back from Omaha last June (also Belmont and Trevecca students)...

Lipscomb University is loosely affiliated with the Churches of Christ.

It's no Harding, or ACU, or Pepperdine, or even Oklahoma Christian.

Never heard of Belmont either.

I have a cousin in the music program there. Walking around campus and ran into Kid Rock. I said what the hell you doing here Bobby and he said his son goes to school there. We ended up talking about deer hunting in Pike county.

A former Vandy baseball player even played for Lipscomb Tuesday. Their pitcher had a great game. It's baseball.

Wow. Did not know that, although Belmont is well regarded for its music programs. I think I was just more surprised that Kid Rock had a son who goes to college period.
