Andy Phillips had a decent little stint in New York. Good ball player. Average coach at Alabama. (CSB: I went to high school with his wife).

Andy is a really good person. Hate that his coaching stint at Alabama needed the way it did.

Didn't help he was coaching for Mitch Gaspard. He's certainly a quality person. And was a big part of that 1997 team.

Scale of 1-10 on how bad the OP failed? 1 is bad. 10 is good. I say it's a 4.

That's what I said about the names Bama fans are throwing out.

According to Google y'all had to go back to the 1920's to find a legit player. The others are names that only hardcore diehard baseball junkies would have ever heard of.

But I've never heard of this clown from LSU either, so I guess they're all on the same level.

ETA:

And btw, looks like a solid chance the mr brightside alter and thomasbrown_2007 alter are run by the same person.

Not shitting on him, just never heard the name until this thread.

If I was going to shite on him then I'd say something about how I just learned he has a career .244 BA... But I would never do that, anybody good enough at baseball to play at the highest level has my respect
