My guess is USCe will ask him after the championship game and he will probably turn them down with upgrades to Fla stadium fast tracked.

No reason it's not Kingston now if that's who you want.

For what it is worth, all the smoke regarding O'Sullivan is from message board rumors that have sort of built on themselves.

Ray Tanner has been completely silent about the search. No leaks either.

I could see this happening. I don't know if he'd be more inclined to move on (if he wanted to) if he lost or won the CWS? If you win, you leave on a high note. Obligation fulfilled, if you will. Who knows.

Came out yesterday that he's the only one who has been known to be interviewed.

Tanner said the list to replace Holbrook was a short one from the start. South Florida coach Mark Kingston is the only coach known to have interviewed, while names such as Florida’s Kevin O’Sullivan have been tied to the job.

The job, Tanner said, has attracted interest from several top coaches.

The mod in question is John Whittle and I'd wager he is more in tune with college baseball and our team in general than the VAST majority of writers out there. The story is O'Sullivan is/was unhappy with the blatant lack of support from the UF fan base. However, making it this deep in the post season has changed his mind regardless that the aforementioned lack of support is still there.

Other than ol' Billy B and Marvin Lewis, I'm pretty sure there's only one NFL coach still with the franchise they coached during Saban's brief dip into the League, and he got the gig in 2006, Saban's second and last season in SoFlo.

(It's Mike McCarthy who, like Lewis, should've been shown the door by now. Get Aaron Rodgers a man who can at least win the conference...)

I just can't believe all of this came from message board rumors. I could see it being us interested in KOS (not the other way around) and that's where it's all coming from.

They've made it this deep before, other than winning game 1. The fan support isn't going to drastically change.

I wasn't aware Whittle is the mod. That changes my view set on things quite a bit actually.

Yeah he shoots pretty straight. His story has been this whole time that Sully was #1 on the list if it worked out that we could get him but getting him would be unlikely.

Umm, Sean Payton? I mean, there's a Saints Rant on the links to your left.

And like I said, if he had success, Saban would still be in the NFL.

If Chip Kelly (who actually had more success in the NFL, until he coached the 49ers) takes the Cal job, is he leaving for a divisional foe?
