Has a coach ever landed two top 5 QBs in the same class?

Right now Jacob Eason is packing his bags for his OV to Gainesville two days after Feleipe Franks committed.

I'm trying to think of a similar situation.

In 2007 Cam Newton and John Brantley were both really highly rated, but I don't think they were top 5.

With Florida's supplements you don't really have to work out.

One would be a guaranteed transfer and potentially a waste of a signee.

I feel like UGA has come close before. Weren't Murray and Mett in the same class and highly rated?

I'm sure it has happened at some point. TN took 3 top 10 QB recruits just last year.

One of the three has since transferred to WR, and might move to safety this offseason. One redshirted, and the other played as Dobbs primary back up this season. Interestingly enough, the one backing up Dobbs as a true freshman was the lowest rated of the three.

you realize you haven't landed them right?

Eason is only visiting because he's smart and doing his due diligence if we get some new fangled offense in here.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if we end up with kirby eason aint going anywhere.

How do a majority of Dawg fans feel about a Smart hire?

I think when the news first broke about richt, just like any big time school we wanted to go after a proven grand slam HC. There really aren't many of those guys out there (we aren't gonna get patterson or someone like that) so that led to the Hermans of the world.

As time has moved though, I'm more and more on board with kirby. Our offense wouldnt' likely change much, our defnese would be stout, he can recruit the shite out of UGA, and he's likely going to be very liked by our boosters and fanbase. Also this is cliche but he knows how to win and has learned from the best. I think when you take eeeeeeverythign into account, it's about as solid/safe of a hire we could make right now. I hope it happens.

If Herman is really off the table, I am on board with Kirby. I would prefer to get it signed and done as soon as possible though, so that we can salvage what's left of our recruiting class and get back to football.

The longer the search goes on, the longer the magnifying glass is on our AD...doesn't look pretty so far.

I think I would be happy with his hire as well. He's recruiting is lights out and word is he's bringing other ace recruiters with him. If you have to go with an unproven HC, he's easily the best option.
