Hard to believe it's been only 4 months since AU football...

was rolling at 6-2 and considered to be a serious threat to win out and represent the SEC West in the SECCG. Feels more like a decade at this point.

laugh all you want. That was indeed the media narrative at that point. You should remember... it was right after a nice beat down of Ole Miss.

If Tank Bigsby stays in bounds, the public never even learns that Harsin is an insufferable tyrant and cheating husband.

Key words right there. Anyone with a brain knew Auburn wasn't winning the SEC West.

It wasn't as good as your brethren talking about how elite AU's offense was under Harsin after beating Akron and Alabama State the first two games.

While I wouldn't have bet on it, AU was playing well with the only conference loss being to a seemingly dominant UGA team at that point while bama was looking like mortals after taking a loss to aTm.

Auburn has a habit of starting well and then kind of crapping the bed. Remember all those August Heismans they won

By who except delusional Auburn fans?

All trolling aside OP has a point. AU looked like it was getting better and better each game and a program heading in the right direction there for a while.
It’s hard to grasp how quickly this went so south. For a coach after only one season that wasn’t great but had at least some signs of life at times to be in this hot water is something else.

Y'all beat Ole Miss and us solidly last year. Frankly you had no business doing either, nor did you have any business losing to USC or Northwestern.
What a strange year for you guys.

Honestly, I thought Harsin was the big surprise of the early season and going to at least make Auburn competitive in the race for the West.
Wellllllll.... I was somewhat off base.

To be fair, even after we shite the bed against TAMU and fell to 6-3, after Ole Kiff beat them the following week we would still have been in control of our own destiny.
All we had to do was beat MSU at home, the Cocks on the road, and win the Iron Bowl.
The first two should have been given, and as it turned out we came closer to winning the IB than either of the other two.
I didn't think we could pull it off, but it sure looked possible when we were up 28-3 and seemingly rolling against the Pirate.
