I'm living in the past today.

Think I will go fire up some 80's music and then turn on "Honk if you sacked Brodie".

If the offense keeps the same personnel on why should the d need to change, they are the same players. Your coach has a timeout to sub if he needs it.

but to give players, especially DE's and DL's a chance to come out for a few plays now and then.

Timeout or sub them when the O subs. not that hard

quote:

If the offense substitutes on any given play, the officials should give the defense a chance to make substitutions as well before putting the ball in play
you do know they can do this, right?

They could always call a timeout.

BTW, Alabama did this to Georgia during the SEC Championship Game last season, FWIW. But, as you can tell, Nick Saban wasn't worried about player safety of the other team (nowhere in my post did I mention how many plays they ran at a HUNH speed). Kind of hypocritical of him to do so, but then again he also still recruits players committed to other schools while he preaches that they should be un-recruitable.

Yeah a few hurry up teams have beaten Bama over the years....

and Bama has beaten a ton of hurry up teams.

The idea that the hurry up is some sort of magic bullet is stupid. If you have dog shite players and coaches your scheme doesn't matter.

Everybody's just missing the damn point on this... It's not the 'style' of offense, nor the quick snap counts that the coaches are beefing about. It's the offense purposefully not wanting to give the defense a chance to substitute

Ugh no everyone realizes this is what it's about. What we don't realize is why you guys are asking for a rule change instead of just playing th game.

They do...watch the ref stand over the ball next time you see an offensive player run off the field for a sub.

I enjoy the HUNH. It means our D gets off the field faster (except when the opposing QB is David Copperfield) and I get to see Yeldon and Coop go off.

You really are teh only Bama fan calling a spade a spade.

EVeryone knows Saban wants to be able to situatoinally sub out his defenders.

I thought they were paid to scheme plays, coach players and recruit, not to develop rules. I always thought administrators developed rules
