How many QBs besides Jameis have you seen throw a ball backwards?

For the last time it was a designed pitch to Roc Thomas, but no one realized he had already left the stadium to transfer to Jacksonville State. That wasn't Jeremy's fault.

Well Jameis won a Heisman, so maybe that's where the JJ hype was coming from.

gus was on the radio and tv making statements about him being a "heisman candidate?"

You got a link to that specifically?

He said he had promise and has shown promise. He said we are confident. He also specifically said on at least 100 occasions our offense will be young with a first year starter and "I expect growing pains." Unfortunately for our lunatic fans none of them listened.

I also believe JJ's play has caught everyone by surprise. When people like Herbie and Palmer starting talking up an Auburn player pre-season you know they have seen something in practice that is forcing them to say it. It doesn't come natural.

Aaron Brooks used to be the best backwards pass thrower guy ever. He was always good for 1 or 2 a game for the Saints.

However Johnson also has an "NFL arm," in the words of Auburn coach Gus Malzahn, and is a more prototypical pocket passer than Newton, Young or Marshall.

Jeremy Johnson can throw a ball through a car wash and not get it wet.

I think ole Boom meant he would totally miss the fricking car wash or a DB would intercept the ball before it entered the car wash

This thread ..LOL

That has to be one of the dumbest ops I have read in a while.

Our qb had two long passes. One intercepted and one going backwards.

It was still better than starting a new qb at Death Valley. Have seen that before and it was even uglier.

Anybody that watched Arky last year and our spring game would have hyped him some plus Gus is at practice everyday where he is performing at a high standard but its like Tiger Woods sumbitch looks great on driving range but can't take it to the course anymore

That's not wrong. He does have an NFL arm. He just doesn't have an NFL mind. And he's definitely more of a pocket passer than Marshall and Newton

There were two H-man moments Sat.
#1 LF shedding a AU D-back from where he jumped on his head as he trucks AU for a TD.
#2 JJ throwing a perfect 20 yd behind the back pass to air.
