Go ahead and give gurley the heisman. ESPN is on that train and much like Jameis last year, they will feed him to you all season. But after Saturday he is clearly the front runner early in the season.

If he goes off against S. Carolina at Williams Brice like he did against Clemson at home - then I'll agree with you. ESPN will make him the front runner and feed college football nation Gurley for Heisman hype all season (which will be fine with me ).

Right now, though, he's just the ESPN flavor of the week. If the c*cks stop him, they will move on to the next shooting star, probably from the Pac 10.

If Mariota has a big game against MSU this weekend, the Gurley hype will die down until he matches/exceeds.

Two good choices for Offensive players of the week. hard to find fault.

Herrera? Not bad, but I thought Floyd put more pressure on the QB and did more damage.

Of course Auburn will be favored, it's at Jordan-Hare. Unless A&M is 8-0, thumps Bama and Auburn has at least 2 losses you should be at least a three point favorite.

The LSU team that played on Saturday has no chance of beating A&M at Kyle this year. None. Of course, they will most likely improve dramatically by then but there is a chance the QB situation remains in flux all year.

There's a chance, but likely won't happen. LSU will still defend A&M very well, and AU can match punch for punch. I think both teams will be favored vs. A&M this year.

Lol. LSU won't be favored vs A&M. Auburn will get three points for being at home.

See, this is how I know you're new to the SEC. Miles coached teams are peak and valley, every year. With that said, LSU is built to stop both AU and A&M and hold them below their season average.

You'd think after watching us turn Jonny football into Jonny turnover 2 straight years they would understand. They'll learn eventually. Our Db's are elite as ever. We will put their receivers on an island, and make them earn every inch. So far not one of their "elite" threats have so much as challenged us. It's not just the starting corners that can lockdown. Our Nickle and dime backs are lights out as well. See Jalen Collins and Thomas Saturday.

What I'm learning about the Aggies is that they're so used to being a bottom dweller in the Big 12 for so years makes them overreact to even the smallest taste of success.

However, once they have their 1st lost the slink back into their corner with their jazz jars for comfort. Wash, Rinse, Repeat

How bout Amarlo Herrera on D

And here I thought Nobody could have had a better night than Leonard Floyd's stat line:

7 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble

But Amarlo racked up some stats as well:

12 tackles, 2 sacks

Oh my lord, I didn't even realize how good of a night he had.

Oh no, I did. Chances are, even with a shitty QB, they can make the NC. From what I saw, someone better than JJ was on the field.
