I don't like it, but he can't be worse than Dooley. Hopefully he can more of a Jimbo Fisher or Muschamp than a Dooley.
Actually he can be worse than Dooley. As much shite as Dooley gets and some is rightfully so, he has Tenn at a far better place than what they were when he took over. Far better.

You shite your whore mouth.
Why would Chief leave and go to a place that ran him out of town? You Tenn fans laughed at LSU when we hired him. I doubt Tenn would pay him more than LSU is and he gets better athletes at LSU now.

This is true. He just can't seem to break through. Tomorrow is his last shot to get a quality win.
The other thing is, the only team this season to run us out of the stadium was Alabama. Tennessee had chances, and good ones, to win the other three, but fell apart on defense, offense, or a combination thereof. It's a really tough break, because unlike most Tennessee fans, I don't actually think Dooley is THAT bad of a football coach -- it's just that the SEC is a tremendous grind. This Tennessee team would do very well in the ACC, the Big 10, and would win the Big East going away. But that's obviously not the circumstance.

My honest opinion is that smart will be legendary one day

No lie. I heard this from Saban himself
bullshite. I don't care what You heard. Saban is too much of a control freak to not have major input.

so you can back that up...his defensives have been ranked in the top 10 in the past 3 years and that includes all the turnover of new starters.
You mean Saban's defenses.

In fairness, Tennessee didn't really run him out of town. He was fired by the incoming coach, and the incoming coach was bringing in a legendary NFL DC.
Yeah, Chief got some hell from Vols fans, but that happens all the time at various schools when people are looking for a scapegoat. Chief's defenses at Tennessee were always good, but there were some occasions that left us scratching our heads (see 2001 vs. Georgia and the SEC title game vs. LSU, 2007 vs. Alabama and Florida, 2008 vs. UCLA).

one can tell on the sidelines when the D is playing that it is all KS making the calls..NS is calmly listening..Now I am sure when they have a TO to discuss some things that he chimes in. He has publicly praised KS after a lot of games with his game plan and his calls.
You and I see two totally different things then. I've seen Saban telling Smart shite the entire game before.

Yeah Tenn even had a chance to beat UF before y'all fell apart in the third. Dooley does deserve some criticism but he has Tenn Atleast respectable and that's far better than when Kiffen left

Well if y'all got Smart I doubt he would be willing to pay a DC over a million a year to run a diff defense than he's ran his entire Bama career. I could be wrong but I don't think Chief has ever ran a 3-4.

Oh, I'm not saying Chief would come back. I see no reason why he would. I'm just saying that even though we gave Chavis hell sometimes, a lot of us (myself included) always had immense respect for him and knew we had a good one (even though sometimes we could get infuriated).
It's like y'all with Les. You know he's a great coach, but sometimes shite happens that just leaves you pissed.

We had a great chance to beat Florida. We really pissed that one away. We couldn't capitalize on opportunities and Florida capitalized on everything they got. It was turrible.
