Every week we get threads by the Gumps crying about Verne and Gary. Bama games are usually the CBS game. We get it, but you do not know any of the garbage that is out there.
Have you ever had your ears raped by Rod Gilmore? The idiot who said "the middle of the field is dark and full of terrors." Who openly roots for the team with a black qb over the other team.
Or people like full retard Palmer who will repeat himself all game. And read the same info about the team every game no matter how many times He sees them.
Sure Verne needs to go. We get that he cannot do it anymore. But until you see other announce team please stfu.

I feel like this is a very late response thread to my previous topic on the matter.
It's not Gary that's the problem (outside of his love for sucking Manziel's cock), it's Verne that's the problem. The first time I heard Verne, I thought he was like 40 years old. His voice is the only reason he's in the booth. He's a terrible commentator and makes stupid mistakes.
2009 rocky block: Lincoln forrrrrr the lead...when it clearly decided the game.

you make some valid points.
i didnt mind the "the middle of the field is dark and full of terrors" line. but for the most part Gilmore sucks.

Actually, you could almost forgive Verne because he's 190 years old. But Danielson fellates Bama every chance he gets. He is almost comical because he politicized college football, of all things. We get that he works for CBS, who has a contract with the SEC. But for him to dismiss other teams around the country when Verne brings up Stanford or Michigan State or TCU is a bush league move. Almost like he wants to change the subject when anyone brings up a really good non-SEC team. Either focus on the game you are calling or talk about all the other good teams, not just SEC.

FWIW, Gary Danielson has hated Bama since they got the LSU rematch in the BCS national championship game. You can clearly hear the disdain and fake enthusiasm in his voice whenever he talks about Alabama football.

his job is to get ratings for CBS. CBS shows SEC games. Do you want him to hype up TCU so that viewers will turn it over to FOX?

Bama fans hate Verne and Gary? 
They always seem very complimentary of them.
I couldn't stand them in the Tebow days, but I've come to appreciate them after listening to some others. They aren't bad.

I like Verne but Gary talks too much. We just want to watch the game, without Gary trying to fill every bit of silence with some kind of comment.
But we get Verne and Gary every week, so if you don't like Gary it gets to the point where you really can't stand it. I mean about 7 games a year for Alabama are on CBS, more than any other SEC team and I still don't understand why LSU is always on ESPNU when they are a premiere program.

Gary is as good as it gets in the business... in spite of his uncharismatic nature. Verne is plain AWFUL at calling the game. If you were to play a drinking game over non-Gary echoed statements that were correct or factual you would stay sober. He's a nice guy. Very jovial, and plain awful at his job.
