They did beat Bama that one time. I'm sure we'll hear about that for the next 20 years.

Of course. It's better than earning your way to a conference championship. Trophies!

He gives us 40 percent chance to reach SEC Championship game this year.

Says Mizzou has lost its identity because the defense line will suck this year considering Mizzou lost their Defensive Coordinator in the offseason.

Nevermind that Mizzou hired a star defensive coordinator from Memphis who in 3 years turned a terrible defense into a top 25 defense. Nevermind that Odom, the new Defensive Coordinator, played for Mizzou and is a Pinkel guy. Essentially, he came back home for his dream job. He's at Mizzou to fricking kick arse!

Wow...McElroy and the SEC Network are idiots. McElroy totally glossed over the fact that Coach Kul, not Stec, is the brains behind the defensive line and Coach Kul just received a huge pay raise. Totally glossed over the fact that a new elite defensive recruit is on defense and will be coached by the #1 Defensive Line Coordinator in the country. Not to mention that Mizzou has an incredible secondary this year. It may be the best we've ever had.

Yup, they succeeded at triggering me. frick this shite. I'm calling Finebaum today.

I know ya'll are new to relevancy. However, it is better to ignore the talking heads both when the say things you don't like as well as things you agree with that are positive.

Nope. I used to think that but I've since 2012 I've revised my stance.

Injuries did not hurt Mizzou in 2012.

Poor preparation for a brand new conference (which happened to be the most difficult conference in the country) and lack of depth hurt Mizzou in 2012.

Poor preparation for the Mizzou game and a general dismissal of Mizzou's football program by overly cocky and confident Georgians are the reason you lost in 2013.

Plainly put...Mizzou handed you your asses. The Georgia fans in Athens were legitimately shocked by that game. Your legendary stadium was silent. I loved every minute of it! The Georgian tears and dear in headlights blank stares were gold!

And it was pretty obvious before the season started they would have issues. Only if you cared to look, that is.

However, the problem with most analysts is that they simply parrot the common talking points. He's no different. Again, he picked a 6 win team to WIN the entire league. I don't care if he was simply participating in group think that tells me he doesn't know what the frick he is talking about.

As for his analysis here, I'd expect it to be about the same. Simply picking up on current talking points and holding them as his own.

Seckel was not the architect of the DL. Kul is still here. Now, he may end up being right of course but so is a broken clock twice a day.

That's actually pretty good odds. Better odds than most, including Vegas, are giving Missouri. McElroy shows you respect and you get pissed? What's wrong with you?

I think it's more likely McElroy is terrible at numbers and intended for the percentage to be as skeptical as his verbiage

You mentioned a lack of depth that was exposed simply because There was a major dropoff at qb and on the ol. It's quite impressive to see you Contradict your own point while trying to justify it. TAlk about a backfire fail. Try better next time.

I don't know him. Dude is a legend on Shaggybevo or Shaggy whatever it is. He has a small cult following.

I like McElroy personally for his passion of college football....BUT he is wrong sometimes...just like every talking head lays an egg every now and then.

His pimping of Mason at QB at UGA last year amazed me....GM went on and on about how strong his arm was and how accurate his throws were in the preseason. That simply was NOT the case. He had weak arm and average accuracy.

I would not count Mizzou out for the east again...as I wouldn't count out any team except Vandy. GM stated yesterday that our "best case scenario" was 3rd in the east. Is he on drugs? First of all we went 4-4 last year in the SEC and could have been 6-2 with any additional receiving help.

GM pimps Bamas DL and glosses over any other real problems that team might have...and he stated that a team with a good DL is always going to give their team a chance to win. Ok...Im buying that stock...but UF's DL is stout and our defense as a whole finished 15th in the country last year even though hindered by bad offense. Soooooo...why aren't we given the same chips as Bama? Not saying we are going to win the CFP...but our defense will keep us in the hunt for the east.

Wrong. Injuries should be expected each season. Injuries aren't an excuse. Lack of depth isn't an excuse either...it's a failure to plan.

But Georgia is one of those vaunted SEC programs who recruits so well that depth isn't an issue. So what was your excuse in 2013?

Remember, you can't use injuries and you can't use lack of depth.

I'm waiting....

reel_gator8,

You're right. He put Bama at 80 percent odds to reach the SEC championship game. Might as well say 100 percent.
