I was there a few years ago when George W. Bush was speaking and some protesters rushed the podium yelling a bunch of bullshite. Secret Service dispatched of them quickly

My ranking of ACC College towns would have them behind only Chapel Hill

Id definitely rank Charlottesville ahead of Chapel Hill. It was the prettiest campus Ive ever visited.

Great post and good luck to both teams!

Solid thread.Great info. I'd love to experience Charlottesville, VA but won't be able to make it. I'm holding out for Omaha. *fingerscrossed*

Posted by reb13 How much does UVA's coach get paid? Seriously yall are in a super regional every year.

If someone's AD doesn't steal UCA's coach then they deserve to be last in conference next year.

To go along with must see places, Blue Ridge Brewery is a 20 minute drive from Cville. It is a great place for some local beer and food.

Also, Champion Brewery is near downtown. They only have beer (food trucks are just outside the door, and you can bring the food in) and it is a solid spot as well.

Looking forward to what should be a great series.

Must say that I feel a lot better about this series than I did about heading to Florida two years ago.

I'm thinking of getting a credit card so I can pay for the finals if LSU and UVA make it. Was hoping y'all got the Fri. game and LSU Sat. So I could catch both Supers

I would also recommend Riverside Lunch, another burger place. It's very good. If you go and have an appetite, order 2 burgers.

The White Spot "Gus Burger" is best enjoyed between the hours of 12 and 4 am. In terms of drunk food, it can't be beat. It's a Charlottesville institution.

Enjoy the town and be sure to do some sightseeing. It's a beautiful area and campus.

What is y'alls bullpen like? I ask because that is MSU's strong point we have one of the best bullpens in the country. We only ask our starters to give us 4-5 quality innings then go to the bullpen...basically if we have the lead when we go to the bullpen, you're fricked. They are like 25-4 on the year with a less than 2 ERA.

That is the one thing that we have a strong advantage in over y'all...the rest of the stats look about even.

I used to live on Fontaine right between the Exxon/Sandwich place and Wayside. It was a great. Wayside is closed on Sunday, so make sure you get there on Saturday before the game. Our bullpen has been solid. Kyle Crockett has been lights out (Except for that one game vs unc, but forget that game). When goes in, it is over. Austin Young was the setup man and was money all season, until the unc series, and he has struggled since then (ACC tournament and this past weekend). Josh Sborz (freshman) has kinda taken Young's place. Also have gotten solid long relief from David Rosenberger. Our starters for Sat/Sun are Silverstein and Waddell, didn't name anyone for a potential game three, it will either be Nick Howard or Whit Mayberry. Nick was our Sunday starter for much of the year, but after our SS Cogswell went down, we moved him there and Mayberry became our #3. Cogswell is rumored to possibly come back this weekend, so not sure how that will affect our staff. I feel very good about our bullpen.

Starters gave up 4 runs for this past weekend. Bullpen didn't give up any (10 IP I believe).

Also, if anyone needs tickets, I am the resident scalper at thesabre, so hitmeup.

Every UVa alumnus I've ever met has been elitist. Can't imagine what it's like in Charlottesville.
