The 2012 SECCG was the best football game I've ever seen. Two super-talented, smashmouth college football teams going right at each other and making play after play offensively and defensively. It seems like everyone contributing on both teams is now in the NFL or will be soon. The 2011 UA-LSU game was the same way obviously and the defenses were better, but there was no balance.

Kick six was easily the greatest SEC game of the past decade. Could even make a valid argument for greatest game of the last decade

Not sure about exact order but this is a solid list

The 2013 LSU/UGA game was decided on a muffed punt by the reigning NFL Rookie Of The Year whose widely considered to now possess some of the most ridiculously sticky hands in the game of organized football.

Go back and watch. Each team went down the field and scored on the other. Until the final drive with hardly any time left, each team took turns destroying the other's defense.

I've never seen a combination of QB and WR's like Mettsiah, ODBJr and Juice Landry put on a show through the air like that...and I say that having watched Matt Flynn win a BCSNCG for LSU and having watched JaMarcus and Bowe, Davis & Doucet for two years.

You could see how bad Zach Mettenberger wanted that game in Sanford. He wanted to be the guy that won that game BIGTIME. His receivers went out and made grab after grab after ridiculous grab trying to get it for him.

It's rare that you see a kid in a position where the playcalling, surrounding talent, and his performance all meld together to allow them to almost transcend the game at this level...and Mettenberger damn near did it.

...and his defense just could not get a stop for him.

We hear a lot about other games. The GOTC (9-6), the 2007 LSU/UF game for flat out raw physicality, the 2013 IB, etc. We also hear clichés like, "they left it all out on the field."

But for all those games, and all those times you've heard it...2013 LSU/UGA at Sanford...with Mettenberger walking off that field after that performance...Well...Rarely has anyone seen something like that in Sports...

Tip my cap to that kid...

The only 2 games that should be talked about is 2012 SECCG and the 13 IB
