He is a good coach and a great recruiter but I will not use great in reference to him as a coach. I have no idea what he did before he got into a big boy conference. But some need to remember the SEC when he came.

SEC East had Fulmer way past his prime at UT with them starting their downward spiral. UGA well is UGA with Richt always underachieving and USC just hired Spurrier which no one thought he could make them a contender.

SEC West Saban just left LSU, AU which was strong but not a regular for UF, UA Shula need not say more.

So why not come in while the conference was wide open. Once Saban came back and built back UA, Miles proved he sustain LSU, AU and UGA were contenders and Spurrier made USC a contender Meyer quickly found the door and bolted.

I know it is opinion but if Meyer would have stayed at UF he would not have the same success he did when he first arrived.

Guy can win, no doubt. He's also a conniving, gutless liar, who quit when he saw things were gonna go south at his old job. But frick em, they're Florida, it was awesome he left them in a lurch.

I loved his speech about not being average that ESPN aired in the preseason.
