If you are talking national elections, you have to be a citizen to vote in those. You don't get citizenship overnight and you can't vote until you are 18 if you're born in the US.

Correct. That's why I said it's their children and grandchildren who vote left as the statistics show, and who have citizenship by birth. We also have leftists in New York city allowing illegals to vote. Yes it's in local elections, which is obviously just the first step in an eventual push to allow illegals to vote nationally.
Again, it also gives more congressional seats to a state like California. So far, that includes Texas, but the left is pushing to turn Texas blue in part by importing these people and their descendants.
