He sent a kid up in a scissor lift to film practice with hurricane like winds blowing. Well the lift blew over and killed the kid.

Do you not remember when he told the ND AV kid that records the practices to go up in the scissorlift during a severe weather warning, when ND has a perfectly good indoor facility? His excuse for not using the facility was that the weatherman was speaking of rain during their game that weekend and want his team to be prepared for that. Oh and it didn't rain that weekend.

IIRC this kid was on some sort of work study program, so it wasn't like he felt he could just say frick this and go home.

Its is no different than when people get hurt on a job due to their bosses ignorant decisions, sometimes you get put in bad situations and you do it knowing it isn't the best idea but you feel you have no "choice" at the time as you "need" the job, etc...

Of course you don't. I bet you don't remember that there are two rapist on that team either. And one of the victims killed themselves because the South Bend police (Notre Dame police) turn a blind eye to shite like rape.

The worst part is the guy was tweeting or texting while up there. From his texts you could tell he was scared shitless being up there.

You can scare the shite out of your self on those lifts by rocking them on flat concrete.

Like I said it is a 75% death rate when they tip over according to OSHA. That doesn't include injuries, that is death.

When you have an indoor facility, there is NO EXCUSE. Sorry but incompetence is not a get out of jail free card to me. If that was the case I know a lot of people that should have never been arrested.

They actually practiced in the indoor facility the day before when the wind wasn't as bad.

Anything to distract from the fact that Catholics rape children and Brian Kelly killed a kid.

I forgot about that, almost how I forgot about Craig James killing those 5 hookers in that hotel room back in the 80s, a product of another fine private Christian School...

If your point is that children are overwhelmingly raped by Catholics and that Christian Schools are intrinsically bad, you guys should provide the statistics. That way we can all benefit and receive great satisfaction from the knowledge you gained from the epiphany that evidently you experienced.

So are you saying that the adult had no choice? Or did he? I wonder if he took a safety class. I'm sure Brian Kelly is head of the AV crew in addition to the football team.

You seem really upset that people bring up the fact that Brian Kelly killed a kid. Maybe you should just accept it instead of blaming the victim for his death.

Alabama fans accept that their coach is a prick, just accept that your coach killed someone. He also urged his players to not talk to police in a murder investigation, but I won't hold that against Notre Dame, because it happened at CMU.

Yeah, if they are going to be using equipment such as that, then the operators and supervisors, in this case Kelly was the supervisor since he wouldn't let the kid come down, should have to take the proper OSHA safety training like everyone else would have to on any other job site in America where that equipment would be used.

Incompetence and Negligence would usually cost you your job especially when you cost someone else their life, but at Notre Dame they pretend it never happened when you win football games...

I've been to job sites where I don't even use the equipment, it isn't in my job description, but just being near the equipment and overseeing the workers from time to time meant I had to go through the same training that they did on the proper use as if I just happened to be walking from my office through the site to my vehicle and saw someone doing something wrong I could stop them and take corrective action.

Yeah, that was terrible. They should have been practicing inside, and the lift shouldn't have been even a question on a windy day. Horrible.

And as far as the Texas players sexually assaulting a girl last night....yeah, throw the book at them if they assaulted her, but girls also have to be smarter than this. Why would you invite 2 guys you don't know up to your hotel room late at night? Come on now.

meh. I won't say that he doesn't deserve any blame, but he's definitely not solely responsible.

Apparently he didn't have a choice because if he did have any say he would have said "hey coach why don't we use the indoor instead because I don't think it's smart for me to go up in this weather."

But of course you'll probably say: no the kid wanted to go up and send text messages about him fearing for his life.

I've never liked those "smack" tshirts. It just exudes trashiness. Let ND talk trash. It'll make Rammer Jammer that much sweeter for me in Miami
