dude didn't you hear? Eason is getting more 1st team reps so that means all of our worldwide fanbase thinks we're going 15-0 this year.

Why doesn't Lambert get more respect? He completed 63.3% of his passes last year and only threw 2 picks in 256 attempts. Why not have the 5th year senior start and let the freshman prodigy watch and get spot duty so as to aid his development?

You just had to watch him play every game to see why we as Dawgs fans called him Lame-bert. He played one good game all year. His stats lie.

Will almost definitely be better.

Wow,so losing Chubb or Michel won't hurt?

We'll have more overall talent but it'll be far from easy to replace Chubb.

Reply to wrong person but yeah no UGA fan with an understanding of FB thinks this.

We'll likely be better at every position except RB (maybe push OL) and still be good there.

I'm not saying it will be easy to replace Chubb's production. I don't think we necessarily have to.

This isn't my argument, but you really put words in that guy's mouth by taking his statement "we will be better in 2017" and making it "losing chubb or michel won't hurt".

Nobody said losing them won't hurt, but it's very possible, in fact it's expected IMO, to be better in 2017.

I don't think there are any reasonable fans expecting him to.

If you venture over to our board you would see that most of us understand he's going to have growing pains. But if he's mentally prepared to fail a lot and learn from it, it's in the best interest of this team for him to get as many reps as possible. That way we set ourselves up for runs in 2017 and 2018.

he could also look in the season prediction thread on this board and see our fanbase generally is expecting a 9-3 regular season. But apparently that's what we call glory according to arkansas.

Sure, it will hurt. It's hard to replace guys like that. But runningback is one of the more replaceable positions on a team. And we probably won't need Chubb like production in Eason's second season with what we've surrounded him with.

My message was more directed to the person who started this thread. The OP of this thread claims that Georgia could compete for an SEC title this year. I personally feel that is an unrealistic prediction. And honestly I dont have any desire to go read a Georgia board.

well, I guess it all hinges on how each person defines "compete".

If we win the east and play in the SECCG, I'd say we have adequately "competed" for the SEC. And honestly, it's not unrealstic at all to say we can win the east. Heck, UF did it last year under a new staff and they were coming off a worse situation than we are. Our east hopes are going to be much clearer after the 2 game stretch of Ole Miss/UT. If we're 1-1 after that, or heaven help us 2-0, we're in ok shape.

It's not liek the guy said we're on the road to the playoffs.

We don't. Most think 8-9 wins is our ceiling this year.

Comparing Jacob Eason to Brandon Allen is a joke
Brandon Allen sucked, and I mean he sucked for all but one year.

I think we are going to go 15-0 every year because I don't go into a game thinking that we are going to lose. (Yes, this has led to lots of disappointment)

I don't think you can give us an automatic 4 losses, EVERY team we play has question marks as do we. But as of now everything is on paper and nothing has been proven. So 15-0 here we come. GO DAWGS!

Yeah, I'm sure he was discussing possibilities for the 2019 season.
