Driving back from the bowl game and decided to take a mini SEC tour. Gonna check out the stadiums and would like some recommendations on where to eat.

What time of day are you coming through Ttown!? Any particular type of food or price level to consider?

Auburn:

Acre or The Hound would be my first choice

Think it’s gonna be around lunch. We’re staying the night tonight in Tuscaloosa but won’t make it until late, so we’re getting dinner in Auburn.

Not looking for an extremely expensive steakhouse or anything, but 2 or 3 $ out of 4.

Acre in Auburn, Irish Bread Pub in Opelika, or Momma Goldbergs for a Momma’s Love and some nachos

Acre in Auburn is legit.

Also Archbald's in Tuscaloosa has some of the better BBQ you'll find in Alabama.

There’s a really neat Burger place right outside Bryant Denny. They got pretty good burgers and stuff, and tons of Bama memorabilia hanging up in there. Their different combos are named after different Bama football moments, and stuff like that. Don’t remember the name of the place, but it’s right outside the stadium. A hole in the wall joint

I like this meal, but I wouldn't recommend it to a first timer in Auburn. It's just comfort food.

Auburn - The Depot, The Hound, Acre, Hamilton's, Amsterdam Cafe, Ariccia Cucina Italiana, Venditori's to name just a few. The Auburn-Opelika area is stacked with great eating establishments.

I agree, especially with a family but for a casual place for a beer and a sandwich, it's hard to beat.

Southern Ale House is really good, but kind of a sit down and stay a while place.
Avenue Pub downtown is also good.
The burger place outside the stadium someone mentioned is called Rama Jama’s. Good little burger place as described.
There’s a locally famous place in downtown Northport called City Cafe if you like the meat and three style. Often has a line, but it goes super fast and is cheap.
There is a local chain called Urban Cookhouse that is a family fav. Farm to table place.
I’ll edit th8s post if I think of more places because I know I am forgetting somewhere.

Zaxby's will probably be your best bet in both of those shitholes.
