You tell me.....if you are an elite recruit in the SE, why would you NOT come to Alabama right now? We have elite facilities, national exposure and top of the line coaches. For all of his shortcomings in height, Saban is a coach true stars want to play for.

EXACTLY. The difference in Auburn fans and other SEC fanbases is that Auburn fans are actually self righteous enough to believe that their fanbase as a whole is completely above any boorish and obnoxious behavior. I've gone with Auburn friends to Iron Bowls in Auburn and have seen plenty of unhospitable behavior from Auburn fans towards Bama fans. I was walking from my seats to the concessions at the 1995 Iron Bowl and had my shaker ripped out of me hands by a saintly upper crust member of the "Awbun famly" in his 50s. You can literally see the seething hatred these people have for all Alabama fans yet they are constantly bragging on their morality and hospitality. Bama fans as well as most SEC fanbases readily acknowledge they have plenty of jack##### in their fanbase but Auburn fans have this cultish attitude that the Auburn family means they're above all the other heathen fanbases in the conference.
