I used to hate Spurrier when he was at Florida. Total douche.

He toned it down at USCar, but he was still good for a smug comment every other week.

I can see why some people might like him, and I respect him for all he did in the SEC and everything, but as a personality, never jived with me.

Was Alabama or Florida better at football in the 90s?

In hindsight it appears the Spurrier-Dabo rivalry was as choreographed as the WWE. Pretty genius on their part. When both teams were doing well they would get some fans blood boiling. Spurrier quit before Dabo could get two in a row on him.

It was definitely entertaining. I hear they were good friends behind all the smoke and mirrors.

I'll miss being competitive.

They wish their coach had personality like him while also still winning championships.

Except Spurrier doesn't win championships. He won a championship in his career. I actually kind of liked Spurrier until he quit on South Carolina last year. Really funny guy and a good coach, but I lost all respect for him after that shite.

Seems like not only the team will take on the personality of the HC but the fans do too.

Please remove the stick from your anus.

You'll have an easier time of everything if you do.

So because we don't like someone that you like, that means that we have sticks up our asses? You seem very concerned about it, are you sure that you aren't the one with a stick up your arse?

Personality? You've never met Steve.

FWIW. Love Steve, hate the quips. Too sophomoric.

Nebraska scored 62 points on Florida and put 600+ yards of offense on them running the ball 99% of the time. It was a beat down of astronomical proportions. They had their 3rd stringers in half way through the 4th quarter. He's a smooth talker, but mediocre as a coach compared to the greats.

Except Spurrier hasn't won championships in a long long time and only one NC in a talent rich state. He is overrated. His big mouth is more popular than his actual ability to coach.

I didn't hate him. I thought he was a pretty cool fellow and a very good coach when he had decent players. Course, if his recruiting wasn't always great, it was his own fault, or at least the fault of his staff. I think his motivation, drive, or whatever you want to call it, kind of waned in the last few years.

Oh man that was funny. I'm like others in here in the fact that I grew to appreciate his humor the older he got. Thanks for sharing I've never seen this one before.
