It is cool, a lot of people assume that.

We have a clear advantage because we can just keep throwing up buildings on our huge west campus. They have to tear down old stuff to make room to build more, which costs more and takes more time.

As I said, except for small windows of time (RIGHT after they update) I never expect them to constantly beat us in the facilities race again. Well, unless you count 6th street as a facility.

This thread got derailed quick...

I would convince LSU that tDecline was real.
By their own logic that 'Chavis peaked 4 years ago', their program's descent started there as well.

What's the point of hiring recruiters who can't coach when you have TONS of in-state talent, and Louisiana-Monroe and Lafayette to compete with.
If it is to compete with Bama, TAMU, and others in the SEC, the reality will hit when they become little brother to the entire SEC.

Hire coaches, not slimeballs.

That's part of Ole Miss' problem. We have no room to build new stuff. We have to either tear down old buildings to build new ones, renovate old ones or add on to them.

Yeah taking a walk to our West Campus makes it feel like it is a part of an entirely different school.

Our main campus looks like a drab tan mess.

A lot of places have that problem. Georgia fans told me that is the reason for a lack of an IPF. Any program in a real city has to deal with it.

Adding to that is the fact that we Aggies simply lack style. We don't care if the style of the buildings on our campus clash with each other. We are using to shitty Houston that looks like a patch quilt, so to us having a modern building right next to a Soviet Bloc one is a o k. That certainly helps when facilities are mostly impressive only on the inside.

Stop making excuses.

The frickin' longhorns are our arse-raping daddies and always will be. Ignore this SEC affiliation bullshite. This conference is fricking weak as shite. It makes no fricking difference how shitty the longhorns' national TV exposure is.

They're Texas.

Just being Texas means they will never have to out-perform our sheep-fricking asses. All they have to do is just show up. They could be in the fricking Sunbelt conference and still be king of the motherfricking hill. They are untouchable, as history shows, right.? Right?

Quit arguing with these dudes. Accept your role as "lesser" and wear that fat dead bitch's skin with pride. We're JizzJar U!!!

Ags, pretend to know football.
UGA, pretend to have success in football
UF, need to start acting like they've been there before.
UT, kings of diverting attention, in denial.
SoCar, see Ags and UGA.
Auburn, close call between most naive and being victims.
LSU, no class as a whole

That would be easier than convincing Ranttards hat the sky is blue. I quit arguing and accepted their version of reality. It's more fun stand there with a shite-eating grin when they're wrong.

Between you and me, the sips have made so many bad decisions the last 5 years that I don't see them emerging until, maybe 2026. Maybe.

ETA: stupid phone.

Whether blinders are on or not, they are Texas.

They are a national name and power.

Wearing blinders is thinking that they won't return to prominence in the state of Texas.

We maybe don't know a lot about the Xs and Os, but on average we know more about the business side of football than you SEC folk. If we did a multiple choice test about what kind of content is at the Tier 3 level of the media rights pyramid I think most of the Rant would fail.

I have acknowledged in this thread that they will return.
The question is: When?
The answer is: Not soon.

We win the "know-shite-about-NCaA-football-business" trophy.

Sure they will be back. That is certain. But they, just like every major program, can go through a down period and a fired coach or two.

The question isn't if Texas will ever be back. That is certain. The question is if Charlie will be the one to bring them back. That is less certain.

Honestly Texas doesn't matter to us. I mean it is nice if they suck so we get easier access to talent, but as the 2014 Big 12 has shown that benefit has a flipside of elevating some new Big 12 program that we then have to compete with in recruiting. It is never a complete win-win for us with them.

The program that COULD slip off the map forever, or at least for a generation with a bad hire, is OU. I will take Charlie winning a national title right now if in trade OU goes through like three crappy coaches in a row. Given the lack of prestige in the Big 12, and the fact that our SEC move killed their Texas pipeline, and such an extended down period would make OU the next Minnesota.

What an odd question. But if I had to convince one team regarding a common stereotype surrounding their program, I'd convince Tennessee that, yes, their fans actually are all cannibalistic serial killers.

Yes, I'm starting that stereotype. No, I won't change my mind. Sorry, Prof.
