Getting tired of the "if it was a good team would LSU be so nice?"

We get it. You don't like LSU.
They have opened up their stadium, their town, and their tailgates to us. They have put up billboards and signs everywhere welcoming us. They are setting up donation boxes at the gates. And all you guys want to do is shite on them and try to make this into a bad thing.
Tomorrow I had plans to go down to Williams Brice, eat some food, get a little drunk and watch my gamecocks get beat up on. Now I'll be sitting on my couch wishing I was there. They didn't have to put up signs. They could have treated this like any other game. But they went above and beyond to make South Carolina feel at home during trying times. And some of you want to bitch about LSU getting another home game? Like they caused the flood? Like South Carolina didn't make the decision to play in BR?
Get over yourselves. Thank you LSU, and here's to a good game tomorrow. Can't wait to watch some football
And a special shoutout to Vanderbilt as well for filling up two trucks of bottled water to bring to Columbia.

Man, an SC fan at that tailgate tomorrow will live like a king for a day. How many can make that trip after all the troubles and such short notice?

Nope. This is class, pure and simple.
LSU could have done nothing and it would have been okay. They chose not to go with that course of action and have gone above and beyond.
No reason to look for anything to bitch about.

You sir, have been on the SECr for too long and have gone mad. That post said nice things about another school, included facts, and was void of excessive swear words. You should be ashamed of yourself. Please step away from the computer and don't return until you have consumed enough cheap booze to have a nice respectable rage out over pointless stuff.

I'm saving that for tomorrow around 4pm

As an outside observer this is pretty much how I see it. I don't understand all the bitching about LSU. They've done well.

Thanks, CNB. We can handle it. And thanks to USC and HBC for giving us the first chance in 21 years to watch LSU play a real (i.e. SEC) game in Tiger Stadium in purple jerseys. For old timers, it will bring back memories. Not all of them fond, but still enough to remind us of when we were there, rocking the student section and watching the feast or famine on the field.
By the way, a small piece of trivia. South Carolina's only win in Tiger Stadium was when we wore purple jerseys in 1994. I'm hoping there won't be a repeat, but you never know...
ETA: For those who don't know, the jersey color decision was made long ago with the agreement of both schools, to go along with USC's planned "white-out" for the game, so this was not something that HBC just did because of the change in venue.

Smart people who happen to be broke will be Gamecock fans tomorrow. At least they should be around the stadium.

Who cares precedence was established in 2007 with VaTech.
Let em melt.

I do think most fan bases and administrations would be acting similarly in our situation, but there is definitely a special level of empathy we can reach because it's something we have been on the other side of. I certainly don't think we would be any less accommodating if it was a highly ranked team coming here tomorrow (no offense to USC)
