Of course Dabo would never leave Clemson for Bama, why would he? The beautiful lakes, the nearby mountain ranges, the nationally known brand - what could Bama ever offer him?

Right Jamie, right? Silly inbred tater

sounds like good reasons to me.

Clemson is a nationally known university. lol anybody who pays attention to sports knows about Clemson, and wake Forest and most other major public and private schools.

I see it as a lateral move. One man's opinion.

lol football royalty.

the marketing never stops with Bama people.

where was that royalty prior to Saban. took a long vacation?

its about the coach, not the college for the most part.

the playoff system will prevent the 'royalty teams' from winning as much

By your own admission, you see Clemson as a Wake Forest-tier job, which I'm pretty sure everyone here will agree with.

no i was poking fun of your assertion Bama has a national brand as though Clemson, and other colleges are not well known to people. Somehow Sammy Watksins heard about it down in Miami

Clemson is regional. Bama is biblical.

In context, for what it's worth, the passage from which those two sentences are taken is referring to idolatry.

So he is saying CLemson has a better football game atmosphere than Alabama and other overhyped programs. Thus doesn't seem like he would bolt for Bama or another job.

You know what would really help? He just has to say it - he's not going to be the Alabama coach.

Now that's a strong statement right there. When a coach says something positive about his school and their fans, you just KNOW he's not going anywhere.
