Wague, who averages 4.0 points and 2.8 rebounds per game for the 13th-ranked Crimson Tide, will miss Saturday's game at No. 17 Kentucky.

Wague threw the elbow while Condon was on the ground during a scramble for a loose ball in the first half of Wednesday night's game, which Alabama won 98-93 in overtime. Wague was not called for a foul on the play.

"We received the discipline for Mo from the SEC and agree with the suspension," Alabama coach Nate Oats said in a statement. "After reviewing the film, the penalty is understandable and appropriate."

NCAA rules require a player be suspended for the next regular-season game if he commits an act of fighting. That's defined as "a confrontation involving one or more players, coaches or other team personnel wherein (but not limited to) a fist, hand, arm, foot, knee or leg is used to combatively strike the other individual."

But, he didn't do anything!

Everyone wants a piece of the Tide. Who knew? You put a lot of work and research into your Wague post. Good job Mike! Lulz

Clean play. Pussies.
-Tuscaloosa

It’s clearly an unintentional, high effort, clean play. Dude’s head was in the way.

Everything looks bad in slow motion. He got his feet knocked out from under him. Why would he randomly decide to karate chop someone in the head? Seems more likely that he just lost his balance

An inadvertent elbow isn’t dirty. And why aren’t Florida fans melting about it? Because it wasn’t dirty.

Bill Laimbeer laughs at this. He would elbow himself and his own teammates harder than this.

Auburn fan pretending they actually won something in basketball. ...

Nirvana and Cobain are the most overrated band/singer of all time Yea I said it...

Condon’s head looks like a basketball. Honest mistake.

If you're going to get a suspension, you might as well get your money's worth.

Basketball is a flop sport akin to soccer. Good to see some actual toughness for once

Been out of town and just seeing that. I figured, based on reading the posts here, it was probably overblown. That was dirty af and should definitely be more than a game.

Sad that the SEC had to step in to suspend him. Nate Oats has film study with and without the team and still didn’t do it.

I don’t see the big deal. Condon was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

He started 24 threads in 3 weeks during last year’s Brandon Miller ordeal.

Of course, he and everyone else somehow forgot to continue caring after Bama was knocked out of the tournament. Funny how that works.
