Reports indicate that Florida promised Rashada a four-year contract worth $13.85 million. According to On3.com, Rashada is suing on counts of fraudulent misrepresentation, fraudulent inducement, aiding and abetting fraud, civil conspiracy to commit fraud, negligent misrepresentations, tortious interference, aiding and abetting tortious interference and vicarious liability.
Sounds like a natural leader and true team player.

The timing of this makes sense.
Before the Tennessee lawsuit against the NCAA, it was against the rules for boosters/teams to offer NIL deals to players to get them to attend their college.
If Rashada had sued before that point, he'd be unable to play because of those rules.
Now that the courts have decided it's okay to pay players to come to your school, Rashada can safely sue UF or their boosters for breach of contract (even if it was just a verbal contract) without losing the ability to play for his current team.

Yeah, I don't think it works that way. Changing the law doesnt give you a right of action two years later for something that already happened.

The players haven't lost a suit yet. And this is the only way this kid is going to make anything at this point. He probably will never play a down at UGA

“Worth multi millions”. Wouldn’t the word millions imply “multi”?

This wasn't a legislative body changing a law.
This was a court case which determined the NCAA's rules about banning pay to play were illegal.
Not illegal as of the date of the decision, but ALWAYS illegal.
So yes, it does mean that even two years later, the NCAA won't be able to take away Rashada's ability to play now that he's admitting to be involved in pay to play. That opens him up to sue Florida boosters for not honoring a contract that was paying him to sign with Florida (which he actually did) without losing the ability to play college football because of it.
2 years is well within any statute of limitations. The timing is no problem there.
