Huge get for Mike White.

Ranked as the #25 overall transfer player.

quote:

Roberts is fresh off his junior season at Bradley during which the 6-foot-3, 180-pounder averaged 14.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Roberts also shot 34.5% from 3-point range.

Roberts’ play earned him first team All-Missouri Valley Conference.

UGA’s roster now has 6 players.

PG- Terry Roberts (#25 transfer)
G- Kario Oquendo
G- Justin Hill (#73 transfer)
F- Jailyn Ingram
C- Braelen Bridges

Bench:

Jabri Abdur Rahim

I’d take our starting 5 over half the SEC

which half exactly? And consider all of the incredible talent Mike White had at Florida and what to show for it? At Georgia?

Dude, I have actively cheered for GA to finally win the NC in football. But this takes the cake

Why are Arkansas fans obsessed with UGA basketball?

What, you haven't heard? you are one of our 12 superbowls...

In all seriousness, this was posted on the Rant by none other than Diddily

He expected this type of retort.

UGA should not only be good, but great at Basketball with the phenoms in your recruiting area. But Mike White? Florida has had much more success in the last 20 years and he couldnt get it done there. Not obsessed, just perplexed at the choices in coaches

At the end of the year neither UGA or Arkansas won a national title in basketball. That means reset, start over..... If your not first, you are last....

Cmon man....

Every team in the sec except possibly Auburn (SEC title is so important afterall) would have gladly traded their records with Arkansas this past season, and last.

Trending in the right direction. I hope GA is as well. again, incredible recruiting area, should have better admin support for sure and do something great

Given the state of the program, we got who we could get. The job isn't one coaches line up for.

that may be true... Who was the best BB coach you have had in the past 20-25 years?

Was Felton there one time? I honestly don't remember...

Good get Georgia.

Man it is still weird that Mike White coaches Georgia. Going to take some getting used to.

Harrick had the program playing at a high level prior to the NCAA snafu... unfortunately the program bent over and cooperated instead of forcing the NCAA's hand. Didn't help that Harrick already was carrying baggage before he came to Athens though.

Re: your question as to "which half"... presumably it would be pretty obvious that he was referencing the bottom half. Moving from worst in the league to somewhere in the middle would be a hell of an accomplishment in one transfer portal cycle and an incomplete recruiting cycle. I'm not sure I quite share the same level of optimism, but keeping Oquendo and landing the transfers that we have is definitely a step in the right direction.

White's bigger test is going to be can he actually get players to improve over time. Crean's teams never seemed to improve in key areas... sloppy offensive possessions in key moments, high rate of turnover, defensively turrible...

thanks for the reply.

I would enjoy Georgia improving to the point of being in the top half and beating out Tenner.

I was playing around with Torvik roster cast earlier today. Right now it only has 3 players on our roster because it assumed some people left.

I plugged in:

- Jailyn Ingram (Returning senior)
- Braelen Bridges (returning senior)

- Kario Oquendo (transfer commit)
- Justin Hill (transfer commit)
- Terry Roberts (transfer commit)

- Frank Anselem (likely transfer)
- Matthew Moncrieffe (likely transfer)

- Dillon Hunter (likely commit)

Our rank went from 205 to 74. White is already doing a great job rebuilding.
