UGA definitely the better team but so was Bama
LSU has to make it a 4th quarter game and at that point anything can happen
The fact that LSU is there from where they were in January is pretty remarkable and will take it win or lose

LSU may get boat raced out of Atlanta. LSU just may frick around and win the damn thing. That's why the game is played. Either way this season has gone 100x better than any LSU fan thought things would go this year.

Cool. Everyone knows this already. Brian Kelly has gotten the absolute most out of a team with weak RB’s, a very young OL, generally weak LB’s and DB’s, and no kicker. We’re not winning the national championship this year and no one I’ve spoken to in real life thinks we are.

Worry about sunbelt Billy and your own crappy program bud

Probably. Just like Miles first season. But so what... the future looks bright given we made it to Atlanta since soon.

Hey I am not ragging on LSU here, Georgia is just really good. They could have beaten us "pick the score" to 0 if they hadn't gotten bored. Not that we are any kind of decent measuring stick for anything.

Georgia will kill LSU. LSU is only there because the west is so weak this year. Its like being the skinniest kid at a fat camp.

In order to beat UGA, LSU needs to do 2 things.

1: call running plays for the QB.
We have played a ton of mobile QBs. But our opponents have been too fearful of injury to incorporate the QB as a feature of the run game.
The result is UGA stuffing every opponent's run game.

2) the QB needs to scramble to throw. Again, we have faced a ton of mobile QBs. Once they pull their hands down to slip the pocket, they never look downfield to try and take advantage of a DB or elite receiver. That results in UGA teeing off on the QB for 0 yard, 3 yard, or 7 yard gains. But the offense fails to move the sticks. And the defense wins the series.

I'm sure Kirby wants payback after last time we met in Atlanta and LSU was up 34-3 going into the 4th and finished 37-10. It could get ugly and I don't think Kirby is going to let up if he gets a big lead.

Ehh, I don't think he's that petty.

Georgia is clearly the best team in the SEC, the returning national champion, and current #1. They've got nothing to prove.

It'll just be another day at work.

this is likely the case, UGA is far and away the best team in the country and it would take a combination of luck and straight up silly mistakes by UGA for LSU to sniff a chance.

Kirby's teams have reached a great level of consistency that Saban's teams often had years ago. Guys leave to the NFL and you plug in their back ups without much of a drop off.

LSU is going to get to that level of play and consistency with Kelly, imo. but you're talking about a virtual team of misfits in year 1 that has gelled together quickly against an entrenched monster of a program.

UGA will win, but damn if LSU doesn't have pieces to build on with what's already happened here.

I still think LSU has a puncher's chance of winning. Kelly is going to be playing high risk-high reward the way he did against Tenner. If things fall in his favor, unlike what happened against Tenner, could be a very good game.

we haven't run anything trick-play-ish this year yet that i can recall, so maybe kelly comes out of his shell there

but like that tn game, he takes too many chances and it's over real quick

im not even sure who or how House is gonna cover Bowers

UGA is too good to lose this game unless they come in unfocused.

The only thing LSU has is that they have nothing to lose. They’re playing with house money at this point. A team like that can be dangerous.

We’ve got maybe 1 in 10 of actually winning the game, going to go ahead and show up to give it a shot if that’s okay with OP.

Florida fan cheering for UGA? Y’all are really pathetic. Stick to being irrelevant with your sunbelt coach.

LSU fans will happily enjoy their Sugar or Orange Bowl bid if this happens. LSU vs Clemson/UNC would be fun.
