The dimensions of the two Gs are different, actually. But since they're visually similar, Dooley asked for and received permission from Green Bay to use our design without fear of copyright infringement.

The original Green Bay G was shaped like a football. Back in the 60's, things were corny like that.
UGA made the slight modification to the power G but asked permission because of the similarity. Green Bay liked the UGA modification that they asked to use it too.
If you want to say that UGA copied green bay, that is fine. But green bay copied us last.
