I got on Twitter and was happy to see that the Mizzou logo's stencil was out on the field. However, they messed it up! When they were close to being finished, they realized they outlined the entire thing black with a trace of white and not black, gold, and white. They just washed and scrubbed it off, and are now repainting it. Im in school so I cant post pics, but they are on @CraigMattoxSEC page. I just thought this was funny, given they probably aren't used to Mizzou's logo. And Another interesting thing that I saw them tweet was that the end zone will say "Mizzou" and not "Missouri". They have always read "Missouri", but after our Nike re-branding, I guess it will be "Mizzou" from now on. I sort of expected that though.

In their defense, I doubt anyone other than Mizzou fans really know or care what it looks like

Considering it's the first time that crew has ever had to paint it, I'd say that's a fair assessment.

Perfect matchup in the SEC Championship...

One team does not know how they want their state name spelled, MIssouri or Mizzou...

...The other does not know which mascot to go with, Tigers or War Eagles.

haha. I knew that was coming.

The Elephant is for the kids.

We dont scream out "Elephants!!!" during kickoffs...

...or make an elephant sound whenever we greet other Bama fans. (which would be hilarious if we did)

Mizzou is a name for the school NOT the state. Never call the state Mizzou. lol. The explanation of how and why we call it Mizzou is actually pretty cool and pretty much sums up our state.

It actually just says "Tigers" in black and gold. Makes me wonder if anything else in your OP is accurate.

Yeah, I realize that. That is at home. This is our first neutral site game since then, but usually the team would go with the university's name, which is, Missouri. But now with the re-branding, its Mizzou. You feel me?

*facepalm* that is the paint along the sidelines not the end zones. Could you imagine if the end zones both said "Tigers" one being in blue and orange, other in black and gold?

I may be mistaken, but hasn't the SECCG traditionally mimicked the home end zones? I might be making that up, but I thought they did checkerboard for UT, etc.

Not sure about the past, but they do not this year. It is just "AUBURN" and "MIZZOU" In block letters in a standardized font. Apparently a Missouri fan was complaining about the Auburn end zone looking like their normal one and Mizzou's isn't supposed to. Like anyone cares.

Tigers vs. Tigers

Very original and creative team names

They switched up the colors when painting our endzone, so it doesn't look normal.
